Can't help feel that the trip looks on the sharp side, more so without headgear on, but when a horse moves to a different yard, they can be completely transformed, and he's big enough to chance, more so with all the rain about.
He was an 8-10f horse back in his 3 year old days, but he's moved around since, where he was putting up 110+ performances over the sticks in Ireland two years back. However, he has really lost his way since joining the Thompson yard (109 > 75), but that's not a surprise for a small yard as they've only managed 2 winners from 90 runners, with this being one of those at 100/1.
We've seen this trainer/owner run another horse with Tristan already, sent off 5/4f on debut, but he got done on the line after idling, but has won twice since. Anything above 5/1 seems value.
